April 25, 2008 (Sawf News) - Bollywood charmer Katrina Kaif has rubbished recent reports that her 17-year-old sister Isabel will play lead opposite Salman Khan in the period drama Veer, scripted by Salman Khan and to be directed by Anil Sharma.
"I don't know from where people are getting these ideas! How can Isabel make a debut in films when she hasn't even finished her education?" she asked Mumbai Mirror.
The 'people' got their ideas from a meeting that Sharma had with Isabel, and the fact that Isabel recently attended several Bollywood events along with Katrina.
Katrina says Isabel, who studies in London, hung out with her as she was on vacation in Mumbai, and has since returned.
"She hasn't even planned yet if she wants to make her career in films or elsewhere. Even if Isabel chooses to join the film industry, she will definitely not be seen in Salman's Veer," she says.
Veer is scheduled to begin production in August for release next summer.
Anil Sharma similarly claims his meeting with Isabel had nothing to do with Veer.
"I have met Isabel a couple of times. She is a nice girl but there have been no talks of her doing our film. We are yet to finalize the lead actress opposite Salman," he told Mumbai Mirror.
