Photo Credit: Sawf NewsMay 11, 2008 (Sawf News) - He may not be the King, Baadshah or Shehanshah, but Akshay Kumar is easily the most sought after Bollywood star, with producers keen to sign him up despite his very busy schedule.
Akshay has just been signed up by friend Vipul Shah for his next production, a yet to be scripted romance to be directed by Imtiaz Ali.
The film will go on floor towards the end of the year, when Imitiaz Ali completes his current project with Saif Ali Khan's Illuminati Films, a film featuring Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and Rishi Kapoor.
Karan Johar is reported to be keen to sign up Akshay for his next directorial venture My Name is Khan that will feature Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor and possibly Kajol.
Akshay has already featured in one film this year, the very forgettable Tashan. He will appear in four more - Nagesh Kukunoor's Eight By Ten, Anees Bazmee's Singh is Kinng, Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China and Sabir Khan's Kambakth Ishq.
His films slotted for release next year already include:
Blue directed by Tony with co-stars Sanjay Dutt, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif and Suniel Shetty.
Housefull (Announced) directed by Sajid Khan with co-stars Deepika Padukone, Jiah Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh.
Priyadarshan's Next with co-stars Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal.
Sajid Khan's Next with co-stars Vidya Balan.
