May 13, 2008 (Sawf News) - Perhaps disillusioned by the tepid audience response to her 2007 comeback film Aaja Nachle, despite her spirited performance in the dance extravaganza, US based Madhuri Dixit is ready to bid adieu to Bollywood.
Madhuri, who received the coveted Padmashri national award from President Pratibha Patil for her contribution to Indian cinema at an investiture ceremony on May 10, is currently in India with her husband Sriram Nene.
Madhuri, who turns 41 on May 15, will be returning to the US next week and, according to her business manager Rakeshnath, will not be doing any more films.
There have been reports that Yash Raj Films, which produced Aaja Nachle is planning a second film with Madhuri, to be directed by Yash Raj himself.
However, a spokesperson for the production house dismissed the reports saying, "There is not an iota of truth of these reports."
