July 24, 2008 (Sawf News) - Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan, fondly referred to as Big B, currently in Los Angeles on the US leg of the 'Unforgettable' world tour, went down with cold and fever on Wednesday, July 23, ahead of a scheduled performance at Sports Arena on Saturday, July 26.

The 65-year-old actor is accompanied on what has been a very successful tour so far by other Bollywood stars that include his son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Ritesh Deshmukh.

A passionate and prolific blogger, Bachchan made the following post late Wednesday night using his mobile phone.

"Miserable.. In bed.. Down with cold and fever.. Medication on. . Desperate to be well before concert.. Damn."

Ironically, just a day earlier Bachchan made the following post reflecting his good cheer.

"Walking the streets in LA.. Freedom. Have not done this in years.. Such pleasant weather.. Street performers.. So lovely"

Sawf News joins Bachchan fans world wide in wishing the Bollywood icon speedy recovery.

Amitabh, Wishing you a Speedy Recovery:
By hghatap on Thursday, July 24, 2008 (EST)
We all are praing GOD for your Speedy Recovery from your Illness. Hoping to see you fit and well in LA Show. I am sure you will be as energetic as Toronto Show.

My Long Cherished Dream of seeing ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ came true in Toronto. He brought back my old memories of seeing him on Big Screen in 1970’s by singing and dancing hit numbers from DON, DEEWAR, Yaraana, Kalia, Silsila, Amar Akbar Anthony etc. which are all my favorites, electrifying the entire Stadium and enthralling 10,000 plus audiences, who all were humming to the tunes. My special thanks to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and the entire team for making this event ‘The most Spectacular Live Show I have ever seen in USA/Canada’. I was dying to hear Amitabh’s voice. His unforgettable dialogues with his ‘Unforgettable Voice’ from movies like Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie etc. were a blessing in disguise. Last but not least, he also entertained young audience with his new movie hits.

I had never expected ‘Jaya Bachchan’ in Toronto. We all were taken a back when she appeared on stage. My hearty thanks to Jayaji for joining the ‘First Family of Bollywood’. We all remember Jaya Bhaduri from good old days of ‘GUDDY’.

Abhishek Bachchan was looking ‘HOT’ and ‘STUNNING’ and driving girls crazy. He stole my heart by dancing to numbers from Don and Silsila. For a moment I felt I am reliving the moments of Amitabh Bachchan of 1970’s. I truly adore him.

Rhitesh Deshmukh, Akshay Kumar, Vishal-Shekar added an extra fuel to the already HOT Stadium atmosphere. All-In-All, it was a memorable event, which will be the last stage show from Amitabh Bachchan considering his age. So, if you are a Bachchan’s fan, then there should not be any second thoughts. Get, set and Go and buy the tickets.

Many hearty thanks to Amitabh Bachchan for organizing shows of this magnitude all over the world. Also my hearty Congratulations to the entire team for making the premier show a Grand Success.

Note: All negative messages posted here and elsewhere is the negative media campaign from SRK fans, who always write bad things about Big B without seeing his movies or shows. When you are dealing with these kinds of fools, better ignore them and give them a ‘GET WELL SOON’ flower.
