July 24, 2008 (Sawf News) - For Vidya Balan recently released film Kismat Konnection turned out to be a welcome Kismat Kross Konnection in which instead of connecting with her rumored but elusive beau Shahid Kapoor she connected with her long lost sense of style!
Vidya Balan, 30, is a talented actress, arguably one of the most in contemporary Bollywood. With Kismat Konnection she drove that point home. Each time she appeared on the screen it seemed to light up.
Another point that Vidya drove home with the film was that her reputation as a serial style offender wasn't well deserved.

A bold departure from her Parineeta look, it went well with her character in the film: a smart, balanced young woman who exudes confidence and spreads cheer in others' lives.
Her makeover could well have contributed to her good performance in the film. Each time she chuckled or smiled it seemed to come from the bottom of her heart.
In the past Vidya has been repeatedly criticized for wearing western outfits, with the common wisdom being that her body form was not suited to them. She is good just for salwar suits and sarees claimed her critics.
Her stylist in the film, Shabinaa Khan, turned that contention on its head. Vidya repeatedly wore short belted dresses, skirt suits or colorful layered tops. She accessorized with western style chunky bright colored bracelet bangles, beaded long necklaces and dangling earrings.

For example, the green and beige fishtail dress that she wore during the wedding sangeet made her look too flat chested, though it suited the ambience otherwise.
In a few dresses with cap sleeves her upper arms looked a little thick.

Unlike the cap sleeve dresses she carried off the sleeveless ones very well, like the red figure-hugging dress with glittery silver belt in the Aai Paapi song.
The high points in her styling were many. She looked stunning in embellished LBD while with Shahid, just before her boyfriend comes to pick her up. Her entire ensemble - black beaded bracelet on one arm, silver bangles on her right arm, black triple circle drop earrings and black peep toe heels make her look insanely hot.

Another chic look was where she bumps into Shahid carrying shopping bags while he is running to reach his appointment. She is wearing blue denim Bermuda shorts with turned cuffs and a white tank layered with red flower print front button top matched with black heels.
We strongly recommend Vidya stick to her new stylist who made her look fit and trendy. Her layered cut styles had more glossy and natural look and each outfit was appropriate for the occasion.
