August 22, 2008 (Sawf News) - Farhan Akhtar and Purab Kohli will 'Rock On' Amul Star Voice of India-Mega Music League along with the participants in the episode to be telecast on Saturday, August 23rd at 10 pm on Star Plus.

The duo will grace the 'Scoring Saturday's' performance round on the show and talk about their upcoming film.
The theme for the episode is Rock Music and all contestants were asked to prepare Rock songs to impress the judges.

The film Rock On revolves around 4 young boys who put together the greatest band this country had ever seen but never make it. Ten years hence fate conspires to bring them together again and set them on a journey back to where they left off. A soul searching pilgrimage into their past. Abhishek Kapoor directed film stars Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Purab Kohli, Luke Kenny, Prachi Desai, Shahana Goswami and Koel Puri.
Here is a synopsis of what transpired during the recording of the episode.
The high tension episode on Friday where Ismail walked out after a shocking elimination on the show encouraged Shaan to ask him what went wrong and why the public is reacting this way. Ismail with no explanation requested the public to listen to the kids with their hearts and not with their minds.
The first contestant to present his claim to TOP 9 was Ryan Dias, the Voice of Andhra Pradesh who sang Rishtey. Farhan thought that this was a fantastic performance and said that Ryan held the promise of lasting for long in the show. Purab really liked Ryan's performance and his hairstyle too! Sukhi felt that Ryan delivered more than what was expected. With an incredible headstart, the stage saw each performance being far superior than the previous one as Saptaparna the Voice of 7 sister states, sang Johnny Gaddar.

Just before Zakir's performance there was tension as Ismail Received a note from Zakir's family. Ismail said that Zakir's family was trying to bribe him. He handed a letter to Shaan. Shaan read it out and it turned out that Zakir's son had written a letter to Ismail asking him to make his father the Voice of India so that Zakir could buy him a cycle. An emotional and apologetic Ismail promised to buy his son a cycle. Zakir said that he was really sad because he couldn't run behind the cycle because of his disability.
Zakir Hussain the Voice of Chattisgarh sang Aaja aaja main hoon Pyar tera and received a standing ovation from the audience; Monty told him that there was no need to worry as Zakir was flying thanks to his brilliant singing. Ritisha, the voice of Bangalore mesmerized audience with his rendition of Gustakhiyaan hai, She also requested Farhan to sing his title track from Rock On for them. A very sporting Farhan just reeled the song with much ease and rocked the Amul Star Voice of India Stage. Purab also joined in with the famous 'ROCK ON' number.
Ravi, the Voice of Delhi performed on AAp ki Dua, Sayantani, the voice from Orrisa sang Dum Maro Dum, Rohit, the voice of 7 sister states got the crowd to groove with O meri Jaan, Vinti, the voice of Uttar Pradesh impressed the judges and Farhan with her recital of Mast, Rahul Mukherjee from Maharashtra sang Alvida and Vipul, the voice of Punjab gave a mind-blowing performance from Farhan's movie Dil Chahta Hai. Purab told Vipul that "Last ball par sixer maare to bahut accha lagta hai...par agar sixer maarne waala Punjab se ho to ball stadium se bahar chali jaayegi"
This high energy episode ended with the participants, Farhan, Purab and Shaan singing Rock On!
