Explaining why he chose to promote Levis 501 Unbuttoned he said:
"The word Unbuttoned appealed to me since it carries a special meaning. It is not an act but an attitude. I have always been very selective about the brands that I endorse. But I have been wearing the Levis brand since childhood and it looks good on my butt. I feel it's the king of all jeans."

(Laughing) "I have not shown it to her yet!"
What does fashion mean for you?
"For me my jeans and white shirt is my fashion statement."

"When I was working in Thailand as a waiter and as a cook before joining films, I had pictures of two people stuck on my door. One was Sridevi and the other was Slyvester Stallone. I always dreamt of working with her and having a body like Mr. Sylvester Stallone. My dream of working with Sridevi came true as I got to work alongside her in Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin. But now when I got a chance to meet Stallone I was very scared. My heart started beating faster as I saw him entering the sets. As we got shooting he spoke about himself, his films amongst a lot of other things.
What is your advice about fitness to youngsters?
"I have been working out very hard to maintain myself. I do a lot of parkour and shadow boxing. I don't believe in steroid or other body enhancers like myoplexes. For me it is mother's paratha's or maa ki daal which is the ideal food.
Who do you feel has the best physique in the Hindi film industry?
"For me I think the only real good physique is that of Sunny Deol's. Don't look at me! I have a paunch in Chandni Chowk to China!"
What is success to you?
"Just believe in yourself first and take care of your parents and then success will definitely follow you automatically."
What are your birthday plans for this year? (Akki's birthday falls on September 7th)
"I am going to be in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival where 'Singh Is Kinng' will be shown."
