Photo Credit: VVCAugust 28, 2008 (Sawf News) - Production of Three Idiots featuring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Boman Irani commenced with the principal stars on Wednesday, August 26 in Mumbai. The first scene filmed featured Madhavan in a jetliner.
Director Rajkumar Hirani who is quite thrilled with the project says, "We are literally off to a flying start. It was amazing to shoot inside a real aircraft. We are really excited and raring to go."
Production of the film with the supporting cast started earlier in July.

Photo Credit: VVCThe current filming stint will be followed by a 20-day schedule in Ladakh which will include lead pair Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Additional schedules are planned in Delhi and Bangalore with the target date for completion being December.
The film is a family entertainer, which is loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's famous novel "Five Point Someone" about three IIT students and the problems they face while studying in the institute.
Thee Idiots is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and written by Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. The lyrics are by Swanand Kirkire and music is being composed by Shantanu Moitra.
