August 28, 2008 (Sawf News) - Makers of Salman Khan starrer Veer have been offered bank busting Rs 150 crore for the film which is still under production, but they are playing it cool because the price is likely to go even higher!

Just few days back, Vipul Shah's London Dreams' entire rights were sold for a whopping Rs 120 crore to Studio 18 and we thought the madness had peaked!

A Production official of Veer confessed to us on conditions of anonymity, "We have big corporate production houses already approaching us. The bid began with Rs 100 crore and just few days back Eros International was willing to settle for a price of Rs 150 crore."

There are several reasons why the film is attracting such an incredible price, the least of all being its generous budget of Rs 75 crore. In addition, the fact that Salman has written the story and is aggressively promoting the film has created excitement all around.

"He has sort of taken it personally on him to make Veer the most awaited film of coming months," says our source.

As we exclusively reported earlier, Salman Khan recently filmed a song and dance sequence for the film that put the film makers back by Rs 3.5 crore, making it the most expensive song ever filmed.

Veer's shooting is on a break now and will recommence with a schedule in England in the month of November.

Besides Salman Khan, Veer features Sohail Khan, Mithun Chakraborty and a mysterious leading lady who is rumored to be a Katrina Kaif clone!
