November 07, 2009, (Sawf News) - Hrithik Roshan will be next seen as a hunky adventurist in his father-in-law Sanjay Khan's production Welcome To The Jungle.
The film, still under scripting, will be helmed by Farukh Kabir and will additionally star Zayed Khan.
The Krrish star is currently filming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish with co-star Aishwarya Rai. He plays a wheel chair bound paraplegic in the film and his makeover in it conceals his muscles and projects him as physically weak.
After completion of Guzaarish in early 2010, Hrithik will have to undergo a physical transformation for Welcome to The Jungle.
"The actors signed will have to undergo a drastic change as compared to their current look. It is a good family adventure story for the masses and all age groups," Sanjay Khan told Mumbai Mirror.
Welcome to The Jungle is likely based on the epic - Ramayan. Back in November 2008 Zayed Khan had revealed that for the last three years his father, Sanjay Khan, has been working on a project based on the epic. Titled The Legend of Rama, it was being co-scripted by Sanjay Khan and UK-based author Farrukh Dhondy.
"He (Father Sanjay Khan) has been planning this film for the last three years and looking for a perfect to play Ram. And who but Hrithik could be the perfect choice for the role?" Zayed said in a press statement. He acknowledged that he will be playing Laxman, saying, "Playing Laxman in one form or another is the story of my life."
Talking about the script Dhondy had earlier said, "It's Ramayan in modern format and the script is ready. This means it will be the Ramayan in The Lord Of The Rings genre. The screenplay has the motion, motivation and movement of a Shakespearean play."
As for the cast Dhondy had no doubt that "Hrithik is the perfect Ram and Zayed the perfect Laxman."
