It is moot whether the success of Ranbir's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani has gone to his head, or the Kapoor brat, who recently dumped girlfriend Deepika Padukone, has just blown a fuse.
Seeing how famously they hit off at the Filmfare gig, producers were reported to have lined up to sign them up for films.
However, Ranbir dismisses the suggestion that he and Imran could be working together in the future, with a lot of attitude and some disdain.
"I don't think Imran and I will be working together in any capacity in the near future. By God's grace, I am in a position to do solo-hero films with terrific actresses and directors for the best banners," Ranbir tells Mumbai Mirror
He also denies the two of them are close friends.
"Imran and I are friends but not the best of friends. Where is the time for friendship?"
As to reports that he is co-producing a film with Imran, Ranbir says:
"People said I am co-producing a film with him. It will be really insulting if I don't direct my first film for my home production (RK Films)."
