Anna Nicole Smith, actress, producer, model, former Playboy Playmate and wife of the late Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall II confirmed today on her website, through an exclusive home video release, that she was pregnant. She did not provide additional details but suggested that she would do so in the days ahead, through additional home video releases which will be viewable for a charge.
Rumors have been rife that Nicole is five months pregnant and photographer Larry Birkhead the father. To begin with Birkhead denied the rumors. More recently he has refused to deny either the pregnancy or the fact that he is the father, suggesting that both were true.
When TMZ probed Birkhead as to why he had denied the rumors to begin with Birkhead responded, ""I've been asked in the past by Howard [K] Stern to deny the rumor." Howard K Stern is Nicole Smith's lawyer.
Since November 1999 Anna through her lawyer has battled her former stepson, E. Pierce Marshall, in court for half of her late husband's $1.6 billion estate.
Anna met J. Howard Marshall II, when she was a topless dancer in Houston in 1991. She later went on to become Playboy Playmate of the Month May 1992 and Playboy Playmate of the Year 1993.
In June 1994, she married J. Howard Marshall II. At that time she was 26 and he was nearly 90. J. Howard Marshall II died on 04 August 1995.
