May 8, 2008 (Sawf News) - Katherine McPhee looked demure in a short strapless purple frock at Allure magazine's Most Alluring Bodies photography exhibition and silent auction, to benefit Skin Cancer Research at the Skylight Studios in NYC on Wednesday, May 7.

Katherine matched her dress with silver sandals and styled her long razored hair with a middle parting, with the tresses draping her shoulders.
Linda Wells, Allure Editor-in-Chief, hosted the event showcasing an impressive lineup of nude female portraits, to kick off skin cancer awareness month.

Portraits of the stars such as Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Campbell, Gisele Bündchen, Kate Moss and Marilyn Monroe were donated for the exhibit by the top photographers like Annie Leibovitz, Michael Thompson, Steven Klein, Bert Stern, Reed Krakoff, and Eve Arnold.
Allure's naked-themed May issue features Hillary Duff on its cover, and includes photos of actresses Angie Harmon, Gabrielle Union, Zoe McLellan, Jill Scott, and Ana Ortiz.

Katherine has been picked as the new face of Neutrogena for a two year period. The first commercials of the campaign will air from the month of May.
Katherine performed Beatles song "Something", at the American Idol stage during the Top 12 results night of the seventh season of the competition with producer David Foster on piano.
After the performance Foster confirmed that he and McPhee were still collaborating on her second studio album. McPhee's new album is due this December and will contain Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, and Leona Lewis type power ballads.
