August 20, 2008 (Sawf News) - The Jonas Brothers' third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, debuted at #1 with first week sales of 525,000 copies, somewhat less than the projected sales of 600,000.
The opening was the third biggest this year after Lil Wayne's million-plus Tha Carter III and Coldplay's 721,000-copy Viva la Vida.
The album, which dropped on Tuesday, August 12, sold 201,000 copies on the very first day prompting first week sales projections of up to 700,000.
The buzz surrounding their new album has nudged their eponymous sophomore album to No. 10, selling 31,000 copies.
