The Wizards of Waverly Place star tweeted on Wednesday:
I cant wait for my record!!! Just ao u know.. My band name is Selena Gomez And The Scene. The title of my record is called "Kiss & Tell."
The "pop-rock-techno-inspired" album will be released by Hollywood Records on September 29, 2009.
"It's what I've gone through with heartache, friendships, and things like that," Selena told the June/July issue of Teen Vogue. "I want my fans to know me a little bit better after they hear this record.
"I basically want to make music that is fun and that parents and kids can jump around to and have a good time to," says the surprisingly level headed 17-year-old.
The album consists of 11 tracks and includes a new version of Tell Me Something I Don't Know as a bonus track.

Selena on Thursday morning tweeted an explanation for her bands name:
selenagomez: I named my band The Scene because a lot of people are making fun of me calling me a "wanna be scene" so I thought I would poke fun of that.
