The 17-year-old's hit single was featured heavily in her movie Hannah Montana: The Movie and was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe.
The track recently received a Grammy nomination for Best Song Written For A Soundtrack but it was then later removed from the list.
The entry with the next highest number of votes was All Is Love by Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and that will now receive the nomination.
Sources close to Cyrus say the swap was not a surprise as the song was put in to the category as a mistake.
Cyrus was not personally nominated as the song was not written by her.
