March 08, 2010, (Sawf News) - The Hurt Locker won 6 Academy Awards and Avatar 3 from nine nominations each at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, March 7.

The Hurt Locker won in the categories - Best Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Editing, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing.

Avatar bagged Oscars for Best Art Direction, Cinematography and Visual Effects.

Jeff Bridges won the Oscar for Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Crazy Heart while Sandra Bullock was called the best Actress in a Leading Role for The Blind Side.
