Directed by Jon Favreau, the film has Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as industrialist and inventor Tony Stark, who part-times as superhero, Iron Man.
When the world becomes aware of his dual life he comes under pressure from the government, press, and public to share his technology with the military.
Not willing to oblige, Stark, along with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle), must forge new alliances and confront powerful enemies.
Scarlett Johansson plays Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow: An undercover spy for S.H.I.E.L.D. posing as Stark's assistant.
The film is scheduled to be released in the UK on April 30th and in North America on May 7, 2010.
The soundtrack will feature music by AC/DC.
