September 23, 2008 (Sawf News) - Carla Bruni, who is accompanying her husband, French President Nicolas Sarkozy, to the United Nations General Assembly session in New York City, looked beautiful and stylish in business casuals as she returned to her hotel after attending meetings on Tuesday, September 23.
Carla showed off her tall slender figure wearing a black pin stripe business suit - A belted jacket and slim fitting skirt with back slit, paired with black patent leather flats.
Sans jewelry and with light makeup, she kept the focus on her chiseled face, beautiful blue eyes, and glowing skin. Her light brown straight hair was styled in an updo with middle parted bangs covering her forehead.
Carla, 39, has not only been charming New Yorkers with her beauty and impeccable sartorial tastes, she has also been keeping up with the city, going by the copy of NY Post that she was holding as she readily smiled at the cameras.
An Italian born naturalized French, Carla is a songwriter, singer and former model. She takes out time from her busy schedule as the First Lady of France to fulfill her love of singing. She released her third album Comme si de rien n'etait (As If Nothing Had Happened) on July 11.
In a BBC television interview to promote the album Carla admitted the tunes floating through the Élysée Palace can interrupt her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, 53.
"I play it at home and I disturb him with it in the middle of the night," Carla said.
Asked what her husband thought about her music, Carla said: He is "really kind" about it and "He listens to all my doubts."
Carla plans to donate profits from her album's share to charity.
