18 February 2008 (Sawf News) - Divorce proceeding between Sir Paul McCartney and estranged wife Heather Mill stretched into the second week Monday, February 18, as the former couple struggled to reach an agreement over the contentious issue of a gag order.
McCartney, 65, is ready to pay Mills the $110 million that she is seeking provided she agrees not to ever reveal any details about their four year old marriage.
A source told the press: "Heather doesn't want to be banned from talking about her marriage and Paul doesn't want damaging details leaking out.
"This is the compromise they have been looking for. Both sides have yet to put pen to paper but it's looking hopeful."
However, Mills, 40, has agreed to destroy all video and audio evidence of their marriage, including evidence of Sir Paul's $1650 million assets.
The divorce proceedings are being presided over by High Court judge Justice Bennett.
Mills is representing herself in the case but is seeking advice from LA lawyer Michael Shilub, 52, who arrived in UK last week.
McCartney did not attend the proceedings on Monday letting his lawyer Fiona Shackleton do the honors.
