Photo Credit: ETJuly 15, 2008 (Sawf News) - Lindsay Lohan's alleged 13-year-old half sister, Ashley Kaufmann, went on TV Monday, July 14, along with her mother, Kristi Kaufmann, saying that her father Michael Lohan had always hurt her and she would love to meet her siblings.
"He's always hurt me," Ashley said on Entertainment Tonight. "It's been throughout my life."
"I'd love to meet my siblings. I'd love that," Ashley says.
Kristi, 44, a massage therapist who's currently living in Florence, Mont., says she met Michael at dinner with a mutual friend in 1982. The two reconnected in New York in 1994, when Michael was separated from then wife Dina. They had a 3-4 week long affair after which Michael disappeared.
"When he came back, I told him I was pregnant," she says. "I knew that he wasn't happy about it so I gave him the door ..."
Kristi is sure that Michael is Ashley's father and claims Ashley's eyes bear a striking resemblance to those of Lindsay.
"The eyes! The eyes are the killer…the eyes are a dead giveaway…ever since she was a baby," Kristi claims.
Though Michael has never met Ashley, Kristi says he kept in touch with her through letters while in jail; she showed more than 20 such letters some of which were signed 'Love Daddy'.
Kristi and Ashley say they are going public with their claim now because they want Michael to own up to his responsibility.
Michael on his part is ready to do so provided DNA tests corroborate Kristi's claims. He claims to have taken a test on July 2 but says he will have to repeat it because of a clerical error. The results will be known in 2 weeks time.
"How can anyone say I am the father of Ashely, or how can I answer the question without the test," protests Michael.
"I want Michael to stand up and do what he's promised all these years…I want him to stop running away," Kristi says.
"When the test results come back…I know in my heart she is his…I would like very much for [Ashley] to have a relationship with her siblings. It is not about the fame, it is not about the money. Never has been. It is not about Lindsay being Lindsay. It is about Michael…," he added.
"Doing the right thing," Ashely finished for her.
Over the weekend, when asked if she wanted to meet with her new sister, Lindsay declined to answer.
