July 23, 2008 (Sawf News) - The Jonas brothers are reported to have bought a $2.8 million six-bedroom house in Vaquero, a gated community in the northern Texas town of Westlake.
According to Tarrant County records obtained by The Dallas Morning News, the siblings gave their mother, Denise Jonas, power of attorney to purchase the property on June 12.
Though neither the real estate agent who listed the property, nor the band's rep would confirm the purchase, recent sightings of the siblings in the neighborhood have excited the community.
"I didn't even know who the Jonas Brothers were or what kind of music they played," pro golfer Brian Watts, who lives down the street, told the Morning News. "But my wife and kids were enthralled. I've seen [the Jonases] from a distance, and they seem like down-to-earth kids. Word spreads fast."
The sibling rockers - "Kevin" Jonas, 20, "Joe" Jonas, 18, and "Nick" Jonas, 15, are currently on the Burning Up Tour through North America, to promote their third studio album A Little Bit Longer, which will be in stores on August 12.
Their band is set to make its first MTV Video Music Awards appearance with a debut performance of a new song from A Little Bit Longer.
The Video Music Awards will air live from Hollywood on Sept. 7.
