August 18, 2008 (Sawf News) - Courtenay Semel, daughter of former Yahoo CEO Terry Semel, told a friend that she had a passionate lesbian relationship with Lindsay Lohan but the two drifted apart because Lindsay feared being outed.
"At the time she was terrified her career would be over if she revealed her sexual tendencies.
"But then Samantha came on to the scene and I was dropped," Courtenay told a pal, according to News of the World.
Courtenay also claims that while they were together Lindsay attempted to suppress her Sapphic urges by bedding a string of men and resorting to drugs to cope with the pressures of her double life.
Lindsay and Courtenay first met at a party in the summer of 2006 and entered into a sporadic relationship through the following year. They met at parties, where they kissed and touched each other in the corner and did lines of cocaine in the toilets.
During the period, Lindsay entered into rehab several times as she battled with her urges.
Lindsay met Samantha, 31, in January 2007 and initially looked upon her as the father she never had. In the following months she was close to both Courtenay and Samantha. In October, Lindsay opted to move in with Courtenay and the two rented house in Beverly Hills.
However, Lindsay still continued to see men and bring them home, something that enraged Courtenay, but the strong sexual attraction between them prompted them to make up.
The relationship eventually broke down in December and a week later Lindsay and Samantha were back together.
"Courtenay still can't understand how Lindsay is now so open with Samantha," says the pal.
"Every time she sees a picture of them together it kills her."
