August 27, 2008 (Sawf News) - Lindsay Lohan is drinking again, says her father Michael Lohan, and it's her joined at the hip gal pal Samantha Ronson who is to blame.
"Samantha drinks and passes the drinks under the table to Lindsay, and behind the scenes it gets worse and worse," Michael is quoted as saying by MSNBC's The Scoop. "Sam is using my daughter. My daughter isn't working because she's always with Sam. Even my ex-wife knows it. She just isn't doing anything about it."
"People like Samantha Ronson don't need to be around Lindsay. She shouldn't be dragging Lindsay around nightclubs. Who was Samantha Ronson before Lindsay Lohan? She was nobody. She is using her for her own gain. All these people have inserted themselves into her life like parasites, and it's not right. I'm done with them," Michael told E! Entertainment.
"I've been up and down the road (in discussions) with my ex-wife (Dina) and it's to the point now that I'm going to confront Samantha and Jenny Muro (Lindsay's production assistant) myself," Michael added.
On Tuesday, August 26, Michael, 48, also made an 'unofficial announcement' to E! News that he is getting engaged to longtime girlfriend Erin Muller, 24.
"We picked out a ring, but it's not official" Michael said.
An official engagement announcement would be made after "some family issues are resolved."
The unresolved family issues do not concern either his daughter Lindsay or massage therapist Kristi Kaufman, who claims that Michael fathered her 13-year-old daughter, Ashley, during a 3-4 week long affair.
His cancer-stricken father's failing health is "the real reason," says Michael.
Regarding Kristi, he says he's been in contact with her.
"Kristi Kaufman has been called and we have agreed to go through a mutual lab (for a paternity test) over the next 30 days."
