September 5, 2008 (Sawf News) - Selena Gomez has upped the ante, in what is increasingly coming through as a still simmering love triangle between her, Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus, by hinting that a song titled I'm Sorry may have been inspired by her love for Nick Jonas.
Selena and Nick refuse to confirm or deny that they are an item but the veneer is quickly wearing away following recent statements by Miley Cyrus, 15, about her past relationship with Nick Jonas, 16, suggesting that Cyrus may not have yet relinquished her claim on Nick.
Speaking to Twist magazine Selena, 16, said:
"A boy I kind of fell for, but he couldn't let his ex-girlfriend go, and it was really difficult. And I felt like in a way, I wasn't good enough. So the song is basically me saying that I'm sorry that it didn't work out or that she used to be who she was, but you have to let me in and you have to know that I'll do everything I can to make you happy and be the best I can be."
Cyrus recently admitted to a two year relationship with Nick, which started when both of them were just 13-years old. Interestingly, Miley does not rule out getting back with Nick!! In an interview to Seventeen Magazine, Miley said:
"We became boyfriend and girlfriend the day we met. He was on a quest to meet me, and he was like, 'I think you're beautiful and I really like you.' And I was like 'Oh my gosh, I like you so much.'"
"Nick and I loved each other," Miley explained. "We still do, but we were in love with each other. For two years he was basically my 24/7. But it was really hard to keep it from people. We were arguing a lot and it really wasn't fun."
More recently Miley let it be officially known that the song 7 Things from her sophomore album Break Out was inspired by her breakup with Nick Jonas.
Interestingly, Jonas Brothers fans believe their number Sorry alludes to the breakup between Nick and Miley.
Well, a lot of creativity has been inspired by this particular teenage love and breakup.
