Revealing the details of the two-minute tryst which resulted in a daughter, the 41-year-old said he had sex with model Angela Ermakova on some steps at London's Nobu restaurant. "I don't know if a bathroom is a better place but it actually happened on the stairs between the bathrooms so there was no broom cupboard," he said.
Becker said that at time he greatly regretted the incident, which caused his marriage to Barbara Feltus to break down.
He recalled: "I felt very guilty, ashamed. It was my last day of tennis [he had just retired after Wimbledon] and now I've cheated on my wife."
He tells Piers Morgan on this Saturday's ITV-1 Lifestories: "I live and learn. It cost my marriage, it cost for the next couple of years my private life but having Anna is not a mistake any more. I have a beautiful daughter. Today, I wouldn't want to miss it for a minute. I love her very much."
