November 24, 2009, (Sawf News) - Carrie Underwood's hockey player boyfriend, Mike Fisher, is ready to sing for her, but likes to keep his relationship with her private.
The NHL star says that he is ready to cut an album of his own to thank girlfriend Carrie Underwood for the love note on her new CD.
"I told her that when my CD came out, I'd return the favor," Fisher told Toronto's Sun Media in an exclusive interview after the Senators 5-3 win over Buffalo on Saturday.
In the liner notes on her third studio album Play On, released on November 3, 2009, Underwood writes:
"Thank you #12
"You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much. You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day ... xoxo, Carrie."
"Obviously, it was very nice," Fisher says of the note. "I was happy she included me in something like that."
Underwood, 26, is his second serious girlfriend, says Fisher, 29, adding that the first relationship was long lasting, just as it was a long time ago.
"There has been only one other girlfriend, really," he said. "It lasted a while, but it was a long time ago."
Fisher ducked a question on whether he is ready to propose to Underwood. The couple is discrete about their relationship and rarely seen in public.
"We're pretty private, and we obviously want to keep it that way," he said. "Keep our relationship and details really private. But at the same time, we're both happy with the way things are.
