She is fast emerging as a teenage style icon and role model.
In December 2007, she was ranked #17 in the list of Forbes Top twenty earners under 25 with an annual earning of US$3.5 million.
Born in November 23, 1992, Nashville, Tenn., Miley often uses a private jet to travel but lives on a $300 monthly allowance from her father Billy Ray Cyrus.
In February 2008, Miley and her friend Mandy Jiroux, her backup dancer, launched The Miley and Mandy Show on YouTube, recording the day to day life of the two teenaged friends.
The show has become a huge success.
Risqué photos of Miley, posing in underwear, were posted over the internet in January 2007.
A second set of photos hit the internet in late April, which showed Miley teasingly pulling her tank top down to expose a fledgling cleavage and green underwear, and wearing a midriff revealing short top, lying in the lap of a young male.
Later that month, photos of Miley posing for Vanity Fair were leaked. In them Miley appears to be nude but is clothed. The photos were shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, in the presence of Miley's parents, for a cover story that included interviews of Miley and her parents.
Miley Cyrus is currently dating 20-year-old model and aspiring country singer Justin Gaston.
Her big screen debut, Hannah Montana: The Movie, was released on April 10, 2009
She is set to start shooting for The Last Song in summer 2009, a film specially penned for her by novelist Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook).
