Kolkata (West Bengal), Apr 16 (ANI): Joseph Blatter, chief of FIFA (Federation of International Football Associations), which is football’s world governing body, has launched a project "Win in India with India," which hopes to achieve "GOAL 2011," a vision to make India a soccer major.

"We are following the development of football everywhere in the world. We have realized that there is one subcontinent which has not been touched directly by the FIFA and by the AFC (Asian Football Confederation). So, we came together with 'Win in India with India’," Blatter said here on Sunday.

The project which falls under Vision Asia’s development scheme is the second project in India to have a four year life expectancy.

Blatter visited three major football clubs in the city - Mohun Bagan AC, Mohameddan Sporting Club and East Bengal Club.

Blatter is likely to announce FIFA's policy initiatives for Indian football in New Delhi this afternoon.

FIFA is responsible for the organisation and governance of major international football tournaments. (ANI)
