October 23, 2009, (Sawf News) - Dell's Adamo XPS is not only ultrathin at an absurd 9.99 mm (0.3933"), it bucks the laptop format in the manner it rests on a table.
The laptop's aluminum encased screen opens when you swipe a finger over a heat-sensing strip which glows white on activation!
The Adamo will be officially announced in November.
Conforming to its XPS designation, the Adamo is a high end computer that will feature a new Intel chip and sell for $2000.
Like the recently introduced 1/2" thick, 16" screen, Lattitude Z, the Adamo is likely to be fully wireless, even featuring wireless docking, inductive charging.
It is expected to be considerably lighter than the 4.5 lb Lattitude Z which has a four-cell battery in standard configuration.
