The event was hosted by Kunal Kohli and Neha Dhupia
The awards, instituted by Stardust magazine in 2003, recognize the emerging talent in India's film industry - Bollywood.
Amongst the stars that attended were former lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. They were reportedly seated in close proximity to each other and were often seen exchanging glances.
Later, on their way out the two met and had a short but warm conversation which was testimony to Kareena's recent assertion that they continue to be good friends.

Amongst those that performed were Kareena Kapoor, Govinda, Lara Dutta and Neha Dhupia.
