Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek in a file photo1 July 2007 (Sawf News) - You have to give it to the Bachchans. They don't tire talking about each other on public occasions. Usually, it is tiresome backslapping. This time, however, Amitabh's objectivity and parental instincts got the better of him.
Speaking at a function in Mumbai Thursday (28 Jun 2007) to celebrate the 57th anniversary of Navbharat Times Amitabh Bachchan took a dig at his son's command over Hindi
"It is true that this generation has trouble with speaking Hindi - even my son Abhishek finds it difficult, and that's why I ask him to try and talk to me in Hindi to improve his pronunciations and vocabulary – but he doesn't listen to me," said Amitabh.
If Amitabh isn't happy with Abhishek's Hindi skills, we wonder what he thinks about Aishwarya's.
Sorry, couldn't resist that. On a more positive note, the Bachchans are probably looking forward to some quality family time at work starting 4 July 2007 when filming for Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar 2 gets underway in Hyderabad.
