Rohan is reluctant to confirm the report merely saying, "John has been signed. We are yet to take a call about the rest of the cast."
However, Sriram Raghavan, was more forthcoming, "We have approached Aishwarya and she has agreed. But we are yet to fulfill the formalities. We start filming this November."
The report comes as a surprise since Aishwarya is known to have her hands already full with a lot of producers eager to sign her up. Besides, there have been reports that relations between Abhishek and John aren't the best, even though the two were thick at one point of time.

Photo Credit:Splash NewsIf the report is true, Rohan Sippy, who is known to be close to Abhishek and has earlier worked with him in films such as Kuch Naa Kaho (2003) and Bluff Master (2005), was possibly instrumental in getting Aishwarya's consent.
Aishwarya’s decision could also be a result of the Bachchan's recent proclivity to build the bridges that they so gleefully burnt just a while ago. Besides, courting the press Amitabh Bachchan has offered an olive branch to Shah Rukh Khan and there is even talk of fielding Aishwarya opposite Shah Rukh in the Sci Fi film Robot to be directed by south director Shankar.
It is also possible the bad vibes between Abhishek and John were nothing more than competitive posturing.
"John and Abhishek's friendship has turned sour because of the growing competition in their professional lives. They have been several occasions in the past where they have been in the run-in for the same films," a source told Mumbai Mirror.
