23 December 2007 (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan appeared at a media event in Mumbai, Sunday, December 23, to promote Nokia cell phones. This is the first time since Nokia's entry into India that a celebrity has been roped in for their brand campaign.
Rattled by the increase in the market share of rivals Motorola and Sony Ericsson, brands promoted by Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan respectively, the Finnish cell phone giant has roped in Shah Rukh Khan to promote their products.

"Shah Rukh Khan represents youth, he is trendy and also tech savvy. He has been a Nokia user for the last ten years and hence, this association," explains Devinder Kishore, Director Marketing, Nokia India.
