Photo Credit: Sawf News14 January 2008 (Sawf News) - Following the poor showing of the films produced under his banner in 2007 producer Aditya Chopra is pulling out all stops and rolling up his sleeves to direct his own film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in lead roles.
Last year, other than Chak De! India, other films from Aditya Chopra Productions - Ta Ra Rum Pum, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Aaja Nachle all bit the dust at the box office, seriously denting the reputation of a banner once reputed to have the Midas touch.
Aditya Chopra has in the past directed two films both runaway hits - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Mohabbatein (2000).
Since he built his formidable reputation directing romantic films, Aditya is sticking with the genre but his new film will be laced with action and humor.
Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta, both banner favorites, are expected to be part of the project which will be shot in Greece Australia and Dubai, reports HT.
Chopra who is currently readying the final draft of the film hopes to start pre-production work in March so as to start wielding the megaphone by June - July.
Both Shah Rukh and Hrithik have plenty of free dates on their calendar as do Rani and Preity.
