The museum decided to add Khan's wax figure to its collection after over 10,000 fans voted him the most popular Bollywood star last summer. He was ranked higher than nine other celebrities, including Madhuri Dixit and Abhishek Bachchan.

Before leaving for London, Khan had taken a tongue in cheek dig at the other Bollywood stars who have been similarly honored.

We have Mahatma Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya, Shah Rukh and I think I am the third most deserving in the museum," said Salman.
