1 February 2008 (Sawf News) - A spokesman for Yash Raj Films (YRF) production has announced that the banner will produce a new film starring Shah Rukh Khan, confirming earlier media reports.
The film titled Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi will be written and directed by Aditya Chopra and will introduce a yet to be identified newcomer as the female lead.
Aditya Chopra has in the past directed two films both runaway hits - Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) and Mohabbatein (2000).
Since he built his formidable reputation directing romantic films, Aditya will stick with the genre though the new film will also feature action and humor.
Chopra, who is currently readying the final draft, will start pre-production in March to wield the megaphone by June - July.
The film, to be shot in Greece, Australia and Dubai will be released by the end of 2008.
Following the poor showing of films produced under the YRF banner in 2007, Aditya Chopra has pulled out all stops and rolled up his sleeves to direct the next film.
