A lot of calories have flowed through her system since then, and many it would seem have found a home there.
Besides she is married now and like most married women blames her slow metabolism, not eating more than required, for her weight gain.
We don't recall seeing Aishwarya in a form revealing dress in the past one year.
Like most Indian women she has relied on the ability of the salwar kameez and sari to hide the wrong curves and give the perception of a slender form.
Whenever Aishwarya has stepped out in western dresses there has been trouble…she has ended up sparking rumors of a pregnancy.
If her weight gain is indeed from a pregnancy, it is one heck of a long pregnancy. She looks no worse to us now than she did in August last year.
So will we ever see Aishwarya svelte again?
Well…this world is full of surprises, so there is always hope.
