April 17, 2008 (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan, Bappi Lahari, Nokia, Knight Riders, IPL, Music Album…we are not sure what the press event was about at Hotel Taj Lands End, Mumbai on Wednesday evening, April 16. But then, who cares? Shah Rukh was there and so it was news!

Maybe the event was about cricket, but then even the willow that SRK gleefully wielded for the cameras had Nokia Connecting People written on it! WTF! And since when does the game of Cricket need a press event to promote it?

Cricket does not need to be sold, it is what sells, just about everything as crazed fans bunk classes and call in sick to watch it.

So why half of Bollywood is now trying to sell cricket?

Maybe they are not selling cricket but themselves, crazed by greed and a sense of power over the people, whose weakness they see clearly.

But we digress... Besides, time will clear the thick fog that prevails on the eve of the first IPL match between Bangalore Royal Challengers and Kolkata Knight Riders at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, tomorrow, April 18.

At the event, Shah Rukh blended the sporty, suave and filming wearing half sleeve chocolate and golden yellow jersey with Nokia, Reebok and Knight Riders logos on it; a matching yellow satin tie hung loosely around the neck, black dress pants and black patent leather dress shoes.

He is seen wearing the same jersey on the jacket of the music album CD.

The album, composed by Bappi Lahari, has a song sung by Shah Rukh!

"I like to try, take chances, IPL involves loads of money, hard work, risks and chances," Shah Rukh told the press.

"That makes me what I am," he added.
