October 18, 2008, (Sawf News) - Sohail Khan, the youngest brother of Salman Khan, plays lead in the upcoming film Heroes which hits theatres on October 24. The film is his second release in the month after Hello on October 10 and his fourth this year.
Interestingly, Heroes features two pairs of real life brothers: Sohail and Salman; and Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol.
Producer/Director/Actor Sohail, 37, made his directorial debut with 1997 action thriller Auzaar which starred Salman. He then directed both of his brothers Salman and Arbaaz Khan in the hit film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998).

Sohail made his acting debut with Maine Dil Tujhko Diya (2002). The three brothers have yet to come together in any film.
In 2007 his only film as an actor was the multi-starrer Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute To Love. His home production Partner (2007) starring Salman and Govinda became a huge success.
2008 began with Sohail Khan playing a cameo with brother Arbaaz in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa.
In a tête-à-tête with Sawf News Sohail recalled his experiences during the filming of Heroes and answered a few pointed questions.
"The film Heroes is a youthful, fun film about two childhood friends, Samir and Ali. I play the character of Samir, who aspires to make it big someday, but wants to have fun in the meanwhile. Vatsal plays my friend, Ali. But life surprises us by presenting us with a challenge. Our characters evolve around how we face the challenge and how our lives are enriched by that challenge.
"Heroes is an adventurous film for us as well. We tour across hills, valleys and plains on bikes as we discover along what is in store for us. Man and machine hit the road with a vengeance, as we travel through various places like Ladakh, Attari and Manila on their epic mission. They discover the joy of zipping through the beautiful landscapes of India and give a surprise visit to families who have lost their closed ones in a battle field. The expectations are high every time my film releases and this time it's no different."
You have four back to back releases with brother Salman Khan. Is it going to be the trend or was it just a coincidence?
"The script fell into place and we just got on board. If you would like to call it a coincidence then may be it is, but we do not look at it that way."
Between acting and producing which of the two he does more for the money?
"I do both for passion. I am not saying money is not important but yes at the end of the day it is my passion that drives me out of the house everyday."
Why do you think we haven't had a script like Sholay? Please be frank.
"I think Sholay was and is still a landmark film. Audience' choice has evolved over the years and so have we as filmmakers. We have to change with time and the films you see today are witness to that evolution."
We will see you next in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, as an actor and producer. Tell us something about the film and your role in it.
"We will talk when the film is releasing."
Right now he is totally focused on his upcoming release and does not want to talk about his next film Main Aur Mrs Khanna. "We will talk when the film is releasing."
"Bonding among you siblings and immense love and respect for your parents - sets an example for today's generation. What keeps you all together and who gets the credit for it?"
"Well honestly there are so many of us and we all have different schedules which keep us busy so we generally make it a point to celebrate festivals and family birthdays together. Thankfully since we come from the same work background it is easier because we understand how time consuming our schedules can get. But in the age of mobile and virtual connectivity we are always in touch and make it a point to be updated on each others lives."
