Action hero Akshay Kumar and demure and talented Vidya Balan will headline Nikhil Advani's 'Chandbhai,' a tough love story set in a juvenile detention facility.

December 08, 2008, (Sawf News) - Action hero Akshay Kumar and demure and talented Vidya Balan will headline Nikhil Advani's Chandbhai, a tough love story set in a juvenile detention facility.

The project is part of a three film production and distribution deal between Warner Bros. Pictures and Mukesh Talreja and Nikhil Advani's People Tree Films.

Advani's Chandni Chowk to China for Warner Bros. is set for release in theatres on January 16.

The other two films which are part of the new three film deal are:-

Milan Zaveri's goofy space girl comedy Jaane kahan se aayi hai, starring Ritesh Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ruslaan Mumtaz, which features two humans and a girl from Venus who has special powers.

Navdeep Singh's Basra a political thriller set in Mumbai and Delhi.

"We are looking at releasing Jaane kahan se aayi hai in the summer of 2009, Chandbhai during Diwali (fall) and Basra will hit the cinemas at the end of 2009," said Talreja.

Warner Bros. has ventured beyond Bollywood in on order to strike deep roots in India, having already signed an agreement with Ocher Studios to produce four films in regional languages.
