January 31, 2009, (Sawf News) - Kareena Kapoor will be presented the Rotary Club Vocational Excellence Award by Bansi Dhurandhar on February 1 at the Grand Hyatt Santacruz in Mumbai.
Kareena, 27, was pleasantly surprised by the Rotary Club honor.
"It's privilege that Kareena will be given this award. She feels great that she is being recognized for the work that she has done in the film industry," said a source close to Kareena.
Kareena earlier bagged the India Today Woman Award, 2009 for her contribution to the world of art and cinema. The award will be presented to her by American environment activist Erin Brockovich whose work inspired the film starring Julia Roberts.
Kareena, one of Bollywood's most talented actress, has won acclaim for films like Chameli, Dev, Omkara and Jab We Met.
Her upcoming projects include Raju Hirani's 3 Idiots, Rensil D' Silva's next (produced by Karan Johar), Kambakkht Ishq ( the most awaited film of 2009), Main Aur Mrs Khanna and Agent Vinod.
Kareena's appeal with the younger generation has made her a favorite amongst corporates for brand endorsements. Bebo, as she is popularly referred to, currently endorses as many as 12 brands.
