Photo Credit: Sawf NewsMarch 14, 2009, (Sawf News) - TV's beloved 'Bhabi,' Rucha Gujarathi, is set to crossover to Bollywood as lead in the upcoming film Lottery, opposite debutant and former Indian Idol Abhijeet Sawant.
Rucha is not new to Bollywood; she started her acting career as a child artiste appearing in films such as Dancer, Sahabzaade, Hum Hain Kamaal Ke, Kanyadaan and Shikari.
She spent many years appearing on TV series which include: Kkusum, Bhabhi (as bhabi), Waaris, Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya, Shh Phir Koi Hai and the reality dance show Saas V/s Bahu. She also did a weekly breakfast time serial called Tak Dhina Din .
Rucha has also done commercials like Livon, Frooti, Royalstag; Clinc All Clear, Emami Cream, Colgate, Pizza Hut, Hamdard Rogan Badam, and appeared in the music videos of albums by Gurdas Mann, Pankaj Udhas and Vaishali Samant.
Lottery is slated for release on March 20.
