After voting, Amrita showed us her inked finger using the more graceful peace sign, choosing not to flip the bird at us like the Bachchans. We are just happy her friendly gesture did not cause the camera to slip out our glad eyed photog's hands.

She was one of the three young female stars we spotted. The other two were Aishwarya Rai (All right, she is not that young anymore!) and Esha Deol.
This was the first time ever that Ms Amrita voted and so excited was she that she reached the polling booth ahead of time.
"At 7 am I was the first voter at the booth in the municipal school in Mahim. I feel so proud of being able to vote for the first time. I keep looking at the black mark on my finger proudly. For years I envied that tell-tale mark on my parents' finger."
