May 13, 2009, (Sawf News) - Yash Raj Films have released footage of scenes that did not make it in the final cut of the hit Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, featuring Shah Rukh Khan as Surinder Sahni and debutant Anushka Sharma as Tanni.
The Aidtya Chopra penned and helmed romantic comedy was released in theaters on December 12, 2008. Even though film was criticized for its credibility challenged storyline, it became a roaring box office hit in India as well as internationally.
The deleted scenes video begins with Suri and Tanni arriving at Amritsar railway station as newly weds. Suri is addressed by one of the railway ticket checkers, 'wah ji single se double' and congratulates Suri and addresses Tani as bhabi ji.
In the second scene (0.28s), Tanni prepares breakfast for Suri. He loves it. Having finished, he gets up to clean his plate himself. Tanni tells him that she will do it but Suri says 'nahi ji, mujhe adat hai.' Then she asks if he enjoyed the breakfast to which Suri says with his signature coy smile, 'Bilkul'.
Next scene (1.30) has Suri's hairdresser friend Bobby getting emotional over Suri's makeover attempts for his love story with Tanni
In scene four (2.32), Tanni tells Suri over dinner that she lied at the dance classes, declaring that she is unmarried, because there were no other married participants. When she asks him if it’s ok with him, Suri replies with his signature smile 'Bilkul ok ji. Rab ji kehte hain woh jhooth jis se kissi ko chot na pahunche jhooth hi nahi hota.'
At (3:55) Tanni talks to Raj about her dad. They are in a restaurant and Tanni tells Raj 'Aaj papa ji hote to bahut khush hote. Woh bahut chahte the ki main dance seekhun. Kehte the ki main Madhuri Dixit ke jaise dance karti hoon.'
Last scene is Bobby's sermon on macho Raj ka jadoo on Suri and Tanni's love story (5.14).
