Photo Credit: Sawf NewsJune 23, 2009, (Sawf News) - Kangana Ranaut and Amitabh Bachchan will star together in Pritish Nandy’s thriller, The Actor, which will be directed by Pritish’s son Kushan.
Amitabh Bachchan had blogged about the film late last month.
“Kangana loved the role and has given her nod. She will play a smart journalist in the film,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.
“Pritish has interacted with Kangana on a couple of occasions. He and Kushan think that she is a gifted actress,” the source added.
This is the first time Kangana will be working with Bachchan, a measure of her rising stock in Bollywood. Filming will begin early 2010 at locations in Mumbai and Europe.
Kangana is currently working on a Telugu film in Switzerland.
Kangana has won accolades and multiple awards for her role in Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion. She will be next seen in this year's big ticket film Kites with co-star Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori, due for release in December.
Amitabh Bachchan, currently in London vacationing with family, wrapped up filming Paa in Cambridge on June 18 for which he had to do the prosthetic face makeover each of the forty days of the shoot. He talked about it quite a lot in his blog.
