"I happened to meet Farhan a couple of times and spoke to him about working together," the author told Bollywood Hungama.
"He just casually mentioned that even Abhishek Kapoor was looking for a suitable script and that's when things started rolling. Abhishek read the book and really liked the characters," the author told Bollywood Hungama.
"The screenplay is being jointly written by Abhishek, Pubali Chaudhary and I. We are still in the first few drafts. There may be minor changes in the film as compared to the book but primarily it will capture the main spirit of the book," Bhagat added.
