"It is a well-hatched conspiracy to malign my image and extort money from me. The victim's story of alleged rape is highly suspicious and doubtful as no external injuries were found on her person," Ahuja said in bail petition filed on Friday, July 3.
The application was moved in court by Shiney's counsel Srikant Shivade with the actor preferring to stay away.
City prosecutor R V Kini opposed the bail saying Ahuja is influential and may tamper with evidence or intimidate the rape victim following his release.
The rape victim's statement has already been recorded in the presence of a court.
Shiney's counsel has sought time to reply to prosecution's arguments opposing Ahuja's bail.
According to the Mumbai Police, medical examination of the alleged victim has confirmed rape while DNA evidence implicates Ahuja in the crime.
The girl's rape was confirmed on the basis of injuries to her private part, while Ahuja is linked to the crime because his DNA was found on the victims body or clothing.
The sessions court deferred hearing of the bail plea till July 7.
Ahuja is alleged to have raped the victim on Sunday, June 14. He is currently in judicial custody.
