The couple was accompanied by two friends. They had a merry time drinking and eating.
Imran, 26, loved the live band Zedde that played at the cafe and tweeted:
Dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, watching a live band. They're pretty good! Must find out who they are...
Later he tweeted his picture with the drummer, bassist, Avantika and friends of the band. Perhaps this visit will be followed by more regular ones to check out other bands playing at the cafe.
The couple left with smiles at half past one at midnight.
Imran Khan and Avantika's secret engagement was outed last week at Arjun Rampal's nightclub launch in Delhi.
Rampal, on learning about the couple's engagement, made an official announcement and Imran's Bollywood colleagues attending the event congratulated the couple.
Imran Khan had popped the question to Avantika at her July 18 birthday party, and she had said yes! The couple was planning to make an official announcement in January.
Imran Khan is currently filming for Aamir Khan Production's Delhi Belly. His next project will be Puneet Malhotra helmed I Hate Love Stories with co-star Sonam Kapoor.
