Washington, Aug 2 (ANI): Former king of pop Michael Jackson’s Neverland ranch could soon be a Scientology retreat centre.
Members of Scientology have reportedly made an offer to buy it, according to media reports in the US. The church members were eyeing the property with plans to turn it into a celebrity retreat compound.
However, a source tells veteran Hollywood reporter Janet Charlton that members of Jackson's family, many of whom are Jehovah's Witnesses, were unhappy with the thought of the Scientologists buying the property, reports Contactmusic.
The source also said that a consortium, led by a Beverly Hills business man, ultimately outbid the Scientologist for the ranch.
Many rumors about the sale of Neverland have circulated in the past, but regardless of who buys the property, the new owner will not be enjoying any of the amusement park rides on the property as they have all been sold to a Japanese company. (ANI)
